Holly Tree Lodge is a registered nursing and residential home, providing care for people with dementia and mental health problems, under constant supervision of trained staff. Holly Tree Lodge is managed by a registered manager, with extensive experience in residential care, especially in dementia care. The manager has Registered Managers Award, NVQ 4 in Care and Management. All care staff have achieved NVQ 2 or are working towards completing it.
Holly Tree Lodge was purchased by Redrose Care Ltd in 2006 as a 37 bed home and recently the home has undergone extensive refurbishment and is accommodating 10 bedrooms for nursing care.
Holly Tree Lodge is in a lovely village of Shafton 3 miles from Barnsley Town and 15 miles from Doncaster. It was a small mining community and has local attraction Wentworth Castle Gardens, Cawthorne Victoria Jubilee Museum, Carlton House and the Yorkshire Sculpture Park. It is lies to the north of Cudworth on the intersection of the A628 and A615 roads.
The Village has a post office, supermarket, 2 paper shops, social club, bowling green and 2 public houses all within walking distance.
